haiti

I believe most people know the history of Haiti but for those who either forget or don't know about the history it is great pleasure and honor for me to do a short summary to refresh your memory.
The island of Hispaniola (La Isla Española), which today is occupied by the nations of Haiti and the Dominican Republic, was one of several landfalls Christopher Columbus made during his first voyage to the New World in 1492. Columbus established a makeshift settlement on the north coast, which he dubbed Navidad (Christmas), after his flagship, the Santa María, struck a coral reef and foundered near the site of present-day Cap Haïtien.
In 1803 the Haitian blue and red flag is devised at Archie, by taking the French tricolor, turning it in its side and removing the white band. The Battle of Vertières marks the ultimate victory of the former slaves over the French

On January 1, 1804, Haiti proclaimed its independence. through this action, it became the second independent state in the western Hemisphere and the first black republic in the world.

As a country Haiti proclaimed its independence since 1804 which is now 205 years of freedom, now Haiti still living in poverty and it has been chose as the poorest country in the Caribbean.

in this situation: who is to blame?

It has been stated that haiti is poor in wealth but rich is resources. Is this true. Also, it has been stated that one of the justifications for the poverty in Haiti is the non-acceptance of the ideals that were presented during the fight for independence. Is this true?

As you know, to some $$ is more important than progress.

What do you think should be done to return Haiti to the strong and prosperous country that it once was?

For Haiti to be strong again, the people have to work together with one mind and goal of prosperity for everyone, not just all the riches and resoures to the top wealthy. There are definitely wealthy people in Haiti (I know a few).
